Switching Over

I’m going to officially stop blogging here and switch over to my Kaye George blog, since I won’t be writing as Janet Cantrell any longer. I’ve effectively already done that, since I haven’t posted here since April of last year! But I’ll make it official today.

Please drop in at http://travelswithkaye.blogspot.com/ to keep up with my latest news. Yesterday I posted a piece about my new beginnings. (http://travelswithkaye.blogspot.com/2018/01/new-beginnings.html)

I haven’t been too regular, even there, lately. But I hope to change that and get back into my stride this year. I hope to see you there!

Thanksgiving

It’s been a while since I posted here, since my Fat Cat series is winding down. I still see sales every day, which lets me know that the books are still being read by new people.

Today I want to officially thank every person who has read a Fat Cat book, every one who has emailed me, every reviewer, and those who have borrowed them and read them. I love you all!

I’m so grateful to have such an enthusiastic bunch of fans! I love you all (and Quincy does, too, you know)!

So, until I have news (coming soon, I think!), many, many thanks!!!

Taking the Easy Way Out

We've had a time of it this week! The governor of Tennessee has declared a state of emergency for the whole state. Knoxville is pretty much shut down for the foreseeable future. The ice is beautiful, but for a place that doesn't get much snow and hardly ever gets temperatures this low, it's treacherous. The worst for us, so far, has been losing the internet and phones for a night an half a day. There's also a large limb on the roof that we'll have to do something about--someday.

Those pine branches, brushing the ground, are usually out of my reach.

Anyway, I'm going to take the easy way out and post a link to something that caught Quincy's fancy. We saw it when Peg Cochran posted it and couldn't resist. We hope you like it!

Winner of autographed book!

Thanks so much to everyone who entered last week. I used random.org to pick the winner of an autographed copy of FAT CAT AT LARGE, d.gatrell@gmail.com. Congratulations, Dee! I hope you enjoy it!

I also hope to have a cover for the second book to show you soon. The title, I think I've announced in a couple of places, will be FAT CAT SPREADS OUT. I'll share the cover copy as soon as I have that, too, so you'll know a little about it. But I can tell you that butter is involved. A lot of butter.

DO YOU HAVE A FAT CAT STORY?

I’ll bet many of you do, and I’d like to hear them. I’m putting my fat cat stories in the Quincy books, but invite you to post yours here!

If you’d like, please post a story of 100 words or less about your fat cat or someone else’s, or even a fat cat story you’ve heard somewhere. I’ll pick one of the posters—somehow. If one of the stories is a standout, I’ll pick that one. If they’re all good, I’ll pick a random number.

Then I’ll mail you a paperback copy of FAT CAT AT LARGE as soon as I get them. Publication date is September 2nd. I got one copy in the mail today from my editor and I’m very excited about this!
